We are excited to announce that our new showhome at Coast Papamoa Beach is now open.

Designed by Auckland architecture firm Keshaw McArthur, this beautiful three-bedroom home provides a sanctuary of streamlined, easy living for busy modern lives.

Dictated by the site’s irregular, triangular shape, it is a shining example of how a seemingly difficult footprint can form the basis of a home that is as unique as it is liveable.

“Utilising an offset, geometric plan provided us with the opportunity to create multiple vistas and connections to the outdoors, which we thought was important in the relaxed beach setting,” says architect Xuan McArthur Nguyen.

“We were interested in establishing spaces between the interior and the landscape, a place where both can be appreciated – the entry can be considered both an inside and an outside space, as can the areas connecting onto the pool terrace and garden. When doors are left open, these intermediate zones blur the boundaries of the interior space.”

A pared back palette of materials has been used to create a calming backdrop that is quietly sophisticated, including aerated concrete, vertical timber weatherboards and feature sheet metal panels.

Keshaw McArthur says there is an inherent Asian influence in the design approach, with both directors having spent time working and living in Japan and Vietnam.

“Our take on luxury is not to have too much clutter, but what you do have is of high quality,” McArthur Nguyen says.

“This home’s clean lines and interesting angles speak to that aesthetic.”

The showhome, at 35 Maria Tini Drive, features three bedrooms, pool terrace, double-sided fireplace, scullery, laundry, walk-in wardrobe, generous foyer and double garage.

It is open for viewing Wednesday to Sunday, 12-4pm.
